Get the Grassroots Motorsports M3 Comparison Issue - Free from BimmerWorld
We would like to thank you for being our customer and helping us make BimmerWorld a success. Without our customers, we would likely be sitting somewhere else working in cubicles without the joys of grinder noise and smell of race fuel, which isn't nearly as much fun! To give back a little, we are shipping out a free issue of Grassroots Motorsports that I worked on from my favorite office chair - a leather-wrapped version straight from BMW.
This spring I teamed up with Grassroots Motorsports on an issue specifically geared toward BMW-lovers - a head-to-head track test of all four generations of M3. From the first BMW I owned that started my passion for the marque, the 4-cylinder E30 M3, to the most recent V8 monster that we have just begun to work on, the folks at GRM sent out the invitation to put down some laps on the track as their pro driver and I jumped on it. I have driven these same cars for years on the street and racetrackfor years, but driving them never gets old; the M3 represents the best of BMW's Motorsport heritage.

BMW Voluntarily Recalls 200,000 Vehicles over Airbag Concerns
Statement on voluntary recall involving front passenger seat sensor mat on U.S.A. model BMWs
BMW announced a voluntary recall regarding the front passenger air bag seat sensor mat involving approximately 200,000 Model Year 2004-06 vehicles. Affected are certain Model Year 2006 3-Series, Model Year 2004-06 5-Series, and Model Year 2004-06 X3 vehicles, depending upon seat type. BMW has found that the sensor mat may become damaged during vehicle usage depending upon the manner and frequency of the front passenger's entry and exit. ...

BMW Group (USA) Reports July Sales
BMW Group US sales (BMW and MINI combined) up 2.2 percent in July.
Woodcliff Lake, NJ - The BMW Group in the U.S. (BMW and MINI combined) reported July sales of 28,977 vehicles, an increase of 2.2 percent over the 28,364 vehicles sold in July 2007. The BMW Group also reported its year-to-date sales volume of 186,890 vehicles, down 3.0 percent compared to 192,702 vehicles in the same period of 2007.

Don't Panic!
If you've ever seen the "Check Engine" or "Service Engine Soon" light displayed on your instrument cluster, you've experienced a portion of your car's diagnostic system at work. Your first reaction may be to panic or to get frustrated. Is it a big problem, or something insignificant that can be attended to later? Guessing about - or asking other people to guess about it - isn't worth the time it took you to read this sentence.
