Let me know if you get something set up and I'll try to make it if I'm in town.
Somewhere where we can see each other's cars?
I recall you're in Queens? I'm in the Lincoln Center area of Manhattan.
Beyond thrilled to have my first ever BMW:) What a joy to drive - handles wonderfully, especially turns and actually goes when I step on the gas - YEAH!!! Though a 2002, was taken by the awesome finish and that it is a 2-door! Lots of complements! Went on site as 2 days ago found about 5 inches of water in tire well - very yukeeee & slimey - and need help desperately! Cupped water out then friend wanting to help took driver's side tailight panel (???) on the inside of trunk out - popped it back in and later discovered no turn signal nor brake light!
Ah well, I will just keep searching and see what I can do!
My friend actually got me clear corners and side indicators for my birthday. Still waiting on on Euro-spec preface halogen tails (clear turn signals instead of amber). I was gonna get LED tails but the fact that they're going on a car with the stock non-sport bumper looks weird to me. If I had MTech 1 or 2 then I would say yeah but even then I still think LED tails look best when the exhausts are symmetrical only on the M3... I was also thinking of doing an MTech 1 bumper swap with style 68s but that will be after all the maintenance is done which is still a long way from now...not sure but we will see :)
I was looking at the coolant temp thread and saw you were having the air bag resistance thing.
I cleaned my connections and the light went away. 3 months later it came back. Did it again and it lasted 2 months.
I changed the wiring harness with A $15 replacement harness which is known to go bad after 10 years or so. The problem has been gone for 2 years. There is a $50 bypass harness that solves the problem forever. It's more involved.
Been really considering a 6 speed swap from a zhp car. Is that the smg or the zhp 6 speed
