Hey i ran into a problem with my wiring again (every time i think im done)
My problem now is that the 8 pin connector (x6011) inside the DME box that replaced the 2 pin (one green goes to fuse box one black goes to EWS) my car came with. is supposed to have wires in pin 7 and pin 8. when i checked the diagrams it says one of these goes to the clutch switch and one goes to the switch block where the heated seat swtich's are ext.
I Wired my clutch switch the same way you did (i think) So now my question is, Do you have wires in pin 7 and pin 8 of x6011? or did we just spice into the wires down by the clutch switch to eliminate having to run the wires to x6011?

Your Message box is full so I had to post here,
First off, I have to say awesome detailed DIY thread with pictures on a s54 swap, such a thread is invaluable to the e46 community. I recently had a revelation of performing the s54 swap to my 330i and subsequently did a search for previously performed swaps on here and your thread was referred. I've spent over 80k on 6 BMW's as far as purchasing, modifying, and maintenance is concerned in the past 7 years of my adult life, but yet to this day I own none. Too cut a long story short, I've come to the realization that at the age of 26, I need to appreciate my love for the e46 chassis as it is and modify it appropriately as my financial status dictates. Your build is an example what can be done with investing time, money and effort.
So I wrote all that to ask this, would you be willing to give me a ride-a-along in your car to ensure my decision on going forward with my s54 swap?
Thanks for your time man,
John.
