Hey guys. I am at my wits end with my car. I have a 2000 E46 323Ci and I am having fuel system problems. Initially, every time I would get to around a 1/4 of a tank then I would begin to splutter and seems like I would run outta gas. I took it to a guy and he changed my sucking jet pump and transfer pipe.....whatever those things are. i know nothing about cars and expect the mechanics to know what they are doing. Well anyway my car still did the same damn thing!

So I took it to another mechanic and he charged me $937 to change my fuel filter, pump seal ring, fuel sending unit (I was told there was 2 sending units but he changed just one......but I dont know which one), and the fuel pump.

MY CAR IS STILL DOING THE SAME THING!!!!

The day after I got it back from the shop I was driving and the gas tank had right at 1/4 tank and I just died right at the stop light. I cranked my car up and luckily there was a gas station right across the street and for some reason my car with about 40% power creeped across the street to the gas station. I purposely filled my tank all the way up and when I cranked up my car to drive off the gas hand only showed 3/4 of a tank. I have spent sooo much money on this car regarding this problem and nobody can fix it If someone could help me I would be eternally grateful!

Pretty soon though.. I'm just having some to pay some things I wish I didn't have to this month, then I get to save for OEM stuff.
Also a wedding ring, which is gonna take at least 2 years to save for.
