Project: Sleeper wagon

I love my 325ci with ESS TS stage 1. But you can never have enough power and I fell in love with wagons (and also have two kids now).
I finally moved into a house with a garage so it's time to start the next project.

Objective: build innocent looking station wagon that will do 0-60 in less than 5 seconds.

Plan:
Phase 1 - buy an e46 wagon, swap in M54B30 and supercharge it.
Phase 2 - upgrade suspension, brakes, diff (LSD) and transmission

Progress:
Find Alpine White wagon with manual transmission - done
Find low mileage M54B30 - done
Buy headers and get them coated - done
Remove the supercharger from the coupe - done
Order Stage 2.5 upgrade from ESS - soon
Order other goodies like new water pump, expansion tank, new MAF, etc ... - ordered
Change all gaskets and seals on the engine including VANOS - waiting for parts
Swap the engine and install supercharger - I don't know how much time I'm gonna have. It will take months rather than weeks.

Here is what the car looks like now (minus the ugly roof rack). I will bring it to mostly stock look but I might keep the M3 bumper for intercooler airflow.

How do you find such an awesome stick shift white wagon!!!!! So jealous!!!!!! you lucky man! Turbo it!

Sleeper wagon - yes! Awesome!

.. now that you're swapping engines, why not upgrade the engine pistons/rods and go stage 3. Even more power !
I'm saving up to - one day - buy the M5 Touring and supercharging it. Shame you guys don't have that model in the US.

zcchen - it wasn't easy to find. Took me about 9 months. Yes, it has sport package too
DubVersion - stage 3 might happen one day but I don't want to spend that much money on the motor. I need to keep something for brakes and suspension. We miss out on some great cars that are available in Europe and Japan. We didn't even get the e46 330i touring.

Looks great , i've seen a few norweigan wagons with S54's(cant wait to see how the M54 will do against them)

Oh and please get rid of the net in the bumper , looks rice

I've been thinking about doing this to my wifes 2000 323 wagon. Go for it!

Sweet idea, the wagons are so bad to the bone... I'm still in love with the E34 M5 Wagon that we have locally.... so awesome!

Headers are here. Thanks Anthony, they look great. I'll be dropping them off for coating later this week.

Update:
The engine is finally here. Found great deal on stock sideskirts. Started to remove the supercharger. I had it installed last year so doing it myself is great new experience.

Are you using most of the same parts from the 325 TS2? Does the upgrade cost much from M54b25 TS2 to M54b30 TS2?
