Been running this setup for a year, on my second set of rears in this size...both roadcourse events (Streets of willow and Las Vegas). Loved it

Is there a reason why you didn't go wider such as a 285 tire?

To general crowd.. I assume everybody is staggered instead of a squared setup?

285 isn't available in 19"

No, with lower offset u make serious contact with outer edge of well/fender and or sticking out behind the car with 305s. I had multiple other offsets. Doesn't work.

I have a set of 305/35/18 MT ET II's on 18x9.5et33 and they fit perfectly when I was at stock height and now that I'm lowered they fit with fender rolling...nothing modified on the inside.

So would any of you NT05 users say that they are good spirited driving tire as well.. like curves and bending roads along with going straight/60-130 pulls??

I use it everywhere...60-130 is perfect on this tire given proper conditions (warm and good road surface). It's not godlike in the corners like an R888 Rcompound tire is but it does very well and alot of people use NT05's on the track.

Since I've personally tried more tires and sizes than most people here on my 600+ whp than most here let me shed some light on the subject.
Here are tires I've tried. I'll rate them from 1-10
10-Mickey thompson et street 2 305/35/18. Handles surprisingly well and they have over 5000 miles on them. The best of te best going straight
9.5-Toyo r888 275/35/18. Best non drag radial tire by a long shot!!!
7.5-8-Re-11 285/30/19 really really good tire
7-Re050a 275/35/19 really liked this setup but wore fast
7-Dunlop star spec in 18's surprisingly good
5-Ps2 285/30/19, 275/30/19 good for a stock m3 lol
2-Toyo t1r were crap
2-nitto invo were crap

Also If you're running 19's you HAVE to run a 35 series sidewall rear tire. It helps a ton.

That being said on my drag 18's Im gonna try the new nt-05 R drag radial in 285/40/18 since I like to run 0 camber when drag racing and the 305 mickeys rub a tiny tiny bit.

For road racing or just daily driving 275/35/18 r888 square setup. My car is a beast around corners, straight line, or even highway roll ons. This is my favorite setup but just so damn expensive. This is also my gtr kill more lmao.

For my 19" bling bling setup I am gonna try the 275/35/19 nt-05 since I can rotate the tires left and right (unlike the re-11) to make them last longer and they are really cheap to begin with

Now all that said and done if you want traction all the time (cheap tires, balding tires, rain, etc) get the proefi traction control.

How about this for traction? First gear to 4th grar pull on balding re-11's at full power!

I cant believe your arguing about something alot of us have done. I was the first to run the 305 and I didnt mod my body at ALL. and I run zero camber and my offset is 33. doesnt rub on inside or outside and does not stick out of my fender its almost perfectly flush but a tad inside

fwiw ...the nt555 315/35/17 i just bought are not a good cornering tire without some serious suspension. i never had issues with 19"s .. and ive ran as tall/wide as a 285/40/19.

Get r888s and be done with it. IMO the perfect street tire. Drove my car in the rain a few times as well and never had problems.

Just get some Hoosier A6s. LoL. Just don't ever drive on any wet roads.

Seems like the Toyo R888 is the PERFECT tire for track and street (no rain), but that's if you want to spend the dough.

From what I gathered, MT's are good for drag racing.

Nitto NT05s seems the winner for both worlds: street and track and does well in the rain. Perfect for the daily driver.

Haven't heard much from RE-11 users, but it sounds like a decent tire although the the price is a little on the higher side.

Anymore input on Nitto's 555?

The MT's are actually a great tire for daily driving also. If money was a concern and i wanted maximum traction I'd personally use them for a daily driver over the R888 and they will probably last just as long if not longer than the r888. And in my experience the MT is waaaaaaaaaaay better in the rain than the R888.

RE11 is a good tire but they are almost as much as the R888 and not as good so they are a pass for me. The only reason I tried them is I picked up a used pair with half tread life left for $150. I figured for that price I'd try them.

I've also tired the nitto 555 and they are crap. Not even close to being in te same league as the other tires we have been talking about. Don't waste te money.

For what it's worth my experience driving with MT ET Street II's has not been as good...they feel like I'm driving on inner tubes and actually don't seem to hook very well for me unless I've warmed them up considerably...not good at all around the city imo.
